High-pressure Reactors / Reaction Vessels
- Thermtech has technical expertise in the process and mechanical design of Reactors. We have design expertise in Reactors for specific customer applications to achieve desired output parameters. Our reactors range from 500 Kg/Batch to 20000 Kg/Batch capacity.
- Our reactors can be jacketed or with Limpet and with an agitator.
A high-pressure reactor is a specialized vessel designed to conduct chemical reactions under elevated pressures and, often, high temperatures. These reactors are widely used in various industries, including chemical manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and petrochemicals, due to their ability to accelerate reaction rates, increase yields, and allow reactions that are not feasible under standard atmospheric conditions. The design and operation of high-pressure reactors are complex, requiring careful consideration of materials, safety protocols, and process control.
A chemical reactor is an enclosed volume in which a chemical reaction occurs. In chemical engineering, it is generally understood to be a process vessel used to carry out a chemical reaction, one of the classic unit operations in chemical process analysis. The design of a chemical reactor deals with multiple aspects of chemical engineering. Thermtech Systems’ Pressure Reactors are engineered for high-pressure industrial applications, ensuring safety and efficiency in chemical processing.
One of the key components of a high-pressure reactor is its sealing mechanism, which ensures that the reactants and products remain contained within the vessel despite the high pressures. Various types of seals, including gaskets, O-rings, and mechanical seals, are each chosen based on the specific operating conditions and the nature of the chemicals involved. The reactor also has safety features such as pressure relief valves, rupture discs, and automated shut-off systems to prevent overpressure scenarios and ensure safe operation.
Drive:
The complete drive unit consists of a tapered Roller Bearing, Bearing Housing with bearing, Flexible coupling Stuffing, Box with gland pulling arrangement, and a Lanturn Bottom tripod with Teflonbush.
Stiffener Ring:
A stiffener ring is provided on the Inner Shell of the Jacket in between the Inner Shell and Outer Jacket to Intensify the main vessel to provide uniform circulation and minimize the stagnation of the heating or cooling medium.
Testing:
Equipment is tested Hydraulically as per design Pressure.
